This is my 7th consecutive year golu from 2018. My golu is neat and spiritual. Unique aspect of my golu is decorated vilakku as amman draped in saree.

This is our 20th year of Golu celebration.This time we kept female goddess in each of our 7 steps.

Goddess Lalitha also known as Rajarajeshwari is described as extremely beautiful, She had a nose with studs that shone more than the stars She was wearing Mangala soothra and necklaces, feet which resembled lamps made of gems which could dispel worries from the mind of devotees and a body with the golden red color. She was given in marriage to Kameshwara[citation needed] and made to stay in Nagara at the top of Maha Meru Mountain.

Our Golu arrangement start with Athi Vinayagar and Varalakshmi and main area decorated with red velvet concept and full Golu designed by myself without any help from Decor agents , all the steps work handcrafted by myself and designed a oval step for Arupadai Veedu

I have been keeping Golu for more than 7years in Dubai and for several years in Chennai.
I make dolls and kolams with beads.
This Golu is special where kolams made from beads are kept.

Our golu is multiple small theam based. I have been practicing this tradition since childhood. After moving to Norway, we have tried our best to continue celebrating navaratri with golu.

My mom doing this since 1986; I and my wife took over this since 2023. This is our second golu pooja and we are blessed to inherit the tradition and continue doing this.

We have started the Golu arrangements since 15 years. We have 85 year old doll. Mananeethicholan set,Thiruvanna maliset,Kalyana set, Maruthvamalai,Ravana sabha,geethobadesham etc. we have one big Saraswathy.
We arrange the golu bommas with stories themes etc. Every year we bought new bommas. This year we bought maruthwa malai set.We arrange the dolls in 9steps.We give Thambulam for women. We were happy to see everyone visit our house to see the Golu.

It has been a tradition for us to keep Kolu(Golu) since our great-grandmother times. We usually keep it for 9 days. On the 10th day, we wrap it and keep it back in the boxes and take it out again for next year's Navaratri. Our Kolu is usually of 9 steps.

After setting up the kolu everyday(9 days) on the mornings and evenings we do a puja to the kalasam(Varalakshmi amman). This is the typical navaratri traditional puja that we do every year.
