Navaratri is a festival that spans nine nights and is dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga and her various forms. Theme of our golu:

• The Murugan Temple in Palani, is the 3rd Arupaddai veedu. In that we tried to recreate the story associated with this temple is about a divine fruit that sparked a disagreement between Lord Murugan and Lord Ganesha.
We recreated 3 scene in that story
1.Ganesha, walked around his parents, saying that they represented the whole universe
2. Pleased by his cleverness, Shiva gave Ganesha the fruit.
3.When Murugan returned and found out what had happened, he felt disappointed and left for Palani.

• Our golu bommai had crossed 60+ years. We have safeguard those dolls for more than 50+ years. They have came across from the hands of our ancestors. This year we specially add magic to our ancient golu bommai, we REPAINTED it , and placed Gosala and pazhani hills in hands of ours.

Dear Saptha Varna Creations,
Residing in Bengaluru, a family of four- R. Nagendra Prasad, Saritha N. Prasad and two daughters Yashaswini and Apoorva - proudly continue our 20 year tradition of arranging vibrant Golu dolls, weaving a tapestry of heritage and harmony in our home, every Dasara. We chose the theme - " Fusion of Heritage and Hollywood: Golu Dolls Reimagined".

At the center, Lord Vishnu's divine grace and his Dashavatara shine. Exquisite dasara procession, wedding dolls, Lord Vishwakarma set, Ashtalakshmis, Sathyanarayana pooje, Mysore painting style Navadurga and many more add grandeur. A delicate handmade Saraswati doll and handcrafted miniature Navadurgas take center stage. All this covers the "Heritage" part of the theme.

Coming to the "Fusion" part, a Hagrid's Hut from the beloved "Harry Potter" movies is created from cardboard, wall joint powder, discarded coffee granules, windows made from cookie container, astonishes beside a charming "Hobbit Hole" from "The Lord of The Rings" movies, sculpted from clay, cardboard, icecream sticks for door, coloured saw dust for grass and flowers, a small barrel, miniature tree made from grape stalk are fitted inside an empty cake box. A cozy library made with icecream sticks is stacked with nearly 200 books, complements miniature board games like lego sets, monopoly, dominos and a fireplace made with a discarded dhoopam box, complete this vibrant celebration of artistry and imagination.

I have provided additional photos in the Google Drive link. Thank You.

This year in our Bommala Kolu we have represented Indian Tradiation and Mythology along with few other wonders of the world.

Dasavatharam are ten different avatar's of Lord Vishnu born at different time lines throughout the history who have save th world from evil powers.
Ashta Lakshmulu are eight different types of Lakshmi Devi Avataras which represent wealth and prosperity in everyone's life.
NavaDurga idols repsresent different spectrum of positive energy and spread a divine aura among the prayers.
Epic moments from our mythology Ramayana and Mahabharata are also represented which explains the iconic scenarios from the epic tale.
Ancient Temples representing Indian Architecture and lifestyles of people from rural India. Mount Titlis and Chappel Bridge from Switzerland. Big Ben, London Eye, Lords Cricket Stadium, Buckingham Palace from England, Eiffel Tower from Paris, Lord Budha Statue from Malaysia are some of the wonders that were kept as part of the Kolu.

And also a small Doll House was created with little dolls which represent the craftmanship of Indian craftsmen.

We have made Indian tradition and Culture as priority and placed the toys accordingly.

This is the very time we have kept Golu at our home.
I have always felt passionated about the joyful and colourful festival Navaratri which usually comprises of Temple visits and Poojas.
But this time, we decided to invite all our favourite God & Goddess to our home and made it to a time Golu.
A small Golu but mostly cover unique dolls.
Heading to the forthcoming years with the same joy to celebrate Navratri and have much more beautiful Golu dolls.
Wishing everyone a grand Navaratri celebration.
