GOLU  CONTEST  2019  RESULTS

Thank you for the overwhelming response. We received more than 250 entries.  Each and every golu was special in it's own way. The judges really enjoyed watching all the entries and had a tough time in choosing the winners. It was a very tough competition. ALL the participants will receive voucher from Sapthavarna Creations.

Pavitha Giridharan has really blown us away with her hand made temple theme. It is a replica of South Indian temple by creating a 7 ft tall temple with the main deity as Dakshinamurthy.  Cilck below to see her golu.

Shanthi Seshadri has kept a stunning golu with the theme "Krishna and his stories". She has beautifully handcrafted the houses, kalinga, horses and more for this theme. She has also made a river in the living room to match this theme. Cilck below to see her golu and the video.

Archana's golu theme is Madurai – Meenakshi Amman Temple. She has created a miniature of the temple in her golu.  She has showcased the significance of the temple. Click here to see her golu.

Veena Krishnan

Veena has taken the theme "Prahalada Varadan - Narasimha Avatar" this year. She has depicted this through 16 stories and with hand-made customized dolls. She has also used relevant back-drops for the theme. Click here to see her Golu.

Sandhya Shashtri

The speciality of Sandhya's golu is that she make new sequences and depictions every year from scratch in the form of handmade traditional wire dolls. She has depicted  14 rituals which covers end to end sequence of wedding. Click here to see her golu.

Mrs. Annapurni Natarajan from Chennai is keeping golu for more than two decades. She is extremely talented and creative. Every year her golu will have a special theme. She has received many awards for her golu, not only in India but also internationally. Her interview has been aired in Dubai Radio. Sapthavarna is extremely proud to have

Mrs. Annapurni Natarajan as our main judge for the online golu contest 2019.

Mrs. Rajeswari has been keeping golu for more than three decades. She is spealised in various themes like Ramayan, Bhagavadham, Tiruvilayadal and more. She has won many awards for her golu. Sapthavarna is extremely proud to have Mrs.Rajeswari as one of our judges for the online golu contest 2019.

Mrs. Ramya Sivram is an extremely passionate and dedicated woman. Her eye for details has to be commended. We are happy to have such a creative mind as one of our judges for the online golu contest 2019.

Mrs. Srividhya Srinivasan has been keeping golu for many years. Her golus have been a mix of both modern and tradition. We thank Srividhya for being our judge for the online golu Contest 2019.
